The first Submarine was it? was it it used in American Civil War or Rosselvelt's time(The Bulletproof one :lol:) fascinating subject covert warfare :arc:

It was used In the Civil War..It was the First and was sucessfull In it's mission.The Down Side was..because of how it launched it's torpedo....( Spear the ship ) It's first mission was also it's last.:(

My Folks are big on The Civil War,well when we were kids...One side of our famliy is North..The Other South..I'm a big Fan of Jules Vern;) But when I heard they found and were restoreing The Hunley,And Learning some History..and how much of a Deathmission it was,Dang,I had to do it.( those boys had vision and guts!..Brains??? hummm.) lol

The obscure history is the best kind to talk about, how else are you going to inform those not in the know. I got a piece of obscure Civil War history I am working on myself.
